History & Background
Founded in 2015, TREES for Uganda emerged with a vision to tackle the pressing issues of environmental degradation, low agricultural productivity, and rural poverty in Northern Uganda.
Over the years, TREES for Uganda has transformed into a trusted partner for communities by integrating tree planting, climate-smart agriculture, and livelihood development. Through hands-on programs, community co-creation and strategic partnerships, the organization continues to broaden its reach and enhance its impact.

Thomas is a multidisciplinary leader in security, operations, and social enterprise . He has extensive experience in security operations, risk management, investigations, technology systems, project coordination and management, and community engagement, with a strong focus on sustainable development and institutional growth.

Kevin Aciro is an Administrative Secretary and Early Childhood Development Officer who supports office administration, coordination, and record management. She is also committed to early childhood development, focusing on improving the learning and well-being of children through community-based support and service delivery.

Richard is an Agronomist at TREES for Ugandasupporting sustainable agriculture, climate-smart farming, and community environmental initiatives in Northern Uganda. He is also pursuing a Bachelor of Agri-systems Management at University of the Sacred Heart Gulu, with a strong interest in sustainable rural development and agricultural innovation

Betty is a Research Assistant at TREES for Uganda, where she supports community and environmental research initiatives. Lucky Lucy is a Research Assistant with a Bachelor of International Relations and Security Studies from Gulu University – Institute of Peace and Strategic Studies. Hellen is a Field Officer with TREES for Uganda in the Social Work Department, where she supports community engagement, household outreach, and social support activities linked to sustainable development programs.
She works closely with local communities to strengthen participation in environmental and livelihood initiatives, ensuring vulnerable groups are included and supported.

Agronomist Officer
Moses is a dedicated team member at TREES for Uganda, committed to advancing sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, and community development initiatives in Northern Uganda. He is passionate about supporting local farmers, promoting climate-smart practices, and contributing to programs that improve livelihoods and strengthen community resilience.

Field Officer - CSA
Daniel is a student at Gulu University, enrolled in the Institute of Peace and Strategic Studies, where he is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Security Studies. He has a passion for farming and has been involved in the farming business for over five years.

Program Manager
Louis is a Program Manager at TREES for Uganda, where leads agriculture and environmental programs focused on sustainable farming, land restoration, and community livelihoods in Northern Uganda.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural and Land Management. Louis is passionate about building resilient farming systems and improving livelihoods through environmentally responsible development.
